Skills Development Fund
- Description
For eligible organizations:- funding to address COVID-19 pandemic-induced labour and financial impacts
- support for employment opportunities, and partnerships which encourage a skilled workforce
- assist communities to respond to labour market changes
For eligible individuals:- employment assistance and support related to Covid-19 pandemic challenges
- employment support and training for groups traditionally underrepresented in certain sectors, and who have been disproportionately impacted by Covid-19
- support and training services may include one-on-one career counseling, pre-employment training, paid work placements, job shadowing and support to internationally educated professionals seeking to enter the local workforce
- access to apprenticeship system through wrap-around supports, and up-to-date training and equipment
- immediate access to employment, training supports, job placements or work experience for job seekers, laid off workers and those at risk of layoff

Eligible individuals- apprentices, job seekers and workers at risk of job displacement, with a focus on those disproportionately impacted by COVID-19, including women, youth, people with disabilities, Indigenous peoples, racialized groups, and immigrants
