Multiservice agency includes medical and non-medical home and community care support services, such as personal care and support, palliative care, home care and homemaking, hospice and respite, meals on wheels, social work, transportation

Meals on Wheels and Kosher Meals on Wheels
Bulk delivery once per week of frozen meals (including Ensure meal replacements, sandwiches and soup packs if applicable); expanded hours Tue-Fri 10 am-4 pm; volunteers wear masks and gloves during deliveries; contact 416-635-2860 ext 581 for food and to arrange delivery

Adult Day Program
For individuals 55 years and older living with dementia; open to frail seniors without cognitive impairments, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday; observes Jewish culture and traditions, but all are welcome

Exercise and Falls Prevention Classes
Classes led by physiotherapists, physiotherapy assistants and specially trained staff to increase mobility, relieve pain and reduce the risk of falls by building strength and improving balance

Home Support Services
Includes caregiver support/respite care, companionship, homemaking, housekeeping, personal care, supportive housing services, palliative care
  • Meals on Wheels (regular, certified Kosher, and vegetarian options)
  • specialized workers for individuals with Alzheimer Disease or mental health challenges
  • transportation to medical appointments, not wheelchair accessible
  • fee for all home services
  • some programs available in Russian

Elder Abuse Prevention Program
For individuals 55 years and older who are experiencing or have experienced abuse

Social Work Services
Includes information and referral, counselling, case management, support groups, workshops

Volunteer Services
Includes friendly visiting, security checks and telephone reassurance
  • intergenerational programs
  • volunteer hospice program
Eligibility
Seniors, and older adults with physical disabilities, cognitive impairments, or mental health challenges; also caregivers, and Holocaust survivors; varies by program; Jewish culture and traditions observed

Residency Requirements: City of Toronto and Southern York Region; Meals on Wheels delivery also available in King City, Aurora, Maple, Vaughan, Richmond Hill, and Newmarket, contact for specific areas served; some programs have restricted service areas, contact for information
