Information and education supporting expectant and young families
  • Registered Nurses contact post-partum clients within 48 hours after being home with a new baby, to answer questions, provide support and information, conduct assessments, and make referrals to breastfeeding clinics, parenting programs and the Healthy Babies Healthy Children high risk home visiting program
  • residents can also call, email, videoconference or instant message directly with a Registered Nurse
  • topics can include:feeding/breastfeeding and caring for baby, sleep, safety, growth and development, as well as depression and anxiety
Eligibility
Expectant parents and families with babies and young children to school age (12 years old), particularly vulnerable residents; also families with children to age 17 years for dental programs
